Who uses a bathroom like this?

The long established TV show which takes you into celebrity homes and asks a panel of other celebrities to guess whose home it is really satisfies the nosiness in us. Of course the term celebrity is used loosely as often we’ve barely heard of them which is the case of so much TV these days; it is the era of the Z list celebs. And it makes cheap telly!

However the American magazine Elle Decor takes us into the bathrooms of some really famous celebrities for us to nosy around.

Who loves opulence and glamour?

This bathroom has a circular bath with an intricate moulded side panel, a black leather chair, a bronze statue and a mirrored wall reflecting the vaulted ceiling. If we tell you that this home owner loves glamour and fashion and that the home is in Milan, does that give you a clue?

Yes this bathroom is the home of fashion designer Donatella Versace, head of the label known for glitzy, glamorous and often revealing creations.

Bathroom by the sea

A simply decorated bathroom in white with splashes of vibrant blues and simple panelled walls, glass shelves is the weekend home for these stars of the screen. The home is unpretentious on every level and gives a really relaxed feel.

Traditional double sinks and a standard bath don’t immediately shout celebrity, certainly not one who is best known for her quirky dressing on screen. But then this is exactly what Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick wanted to achieve in their Bridgehampton, New York seaside retreat.

More glitz and glamour

In a Manhattan apartment, this bathroom has glass tiles everywhere. The mirrors and the vanity unit with so many drawers is custom built. It screams glamour and someone who definitely wants to make a statement.

This actress has those typical Californian looks – blonde hair, blue eyes – and can ooze glamour herself but ironically she also rocks the beach/surf board chick look too. Have you guessed it’s the bathroom of Cameron Diaz?

Which fashion designer likes these clean, modern lines?

This bathroom gleams with brightness and minimalism. No wonder as the custom made worktops and floor is made from white marble and the cabinets are white lacquered to give them a shine. The view from the wall of glass is New York’s Central Park.

Whose master bathroom is this do you think? Well someone renowned for his style of course. It’s none other than Ralph Lauren who shares this apartment with his wife Ricky.

Reflecting the local style

Probably one of the most famous homes if not bathrooms, is this Marrakesh villa of another fashion designer, Yves St Laurent. The famous vibrant blue home built in typical North African style is known the world over. The mosaic tiles run through many of the rooms though not all are blue!
