Inspiration from Celebrity Bathrooms
There is a definite fascination with how celebrities live their lives. This probably stems back to the glamour of Hollywood, which was the first sector to make people into ‘stars’. Today it doesn’t take much – Stars can be ranked from A-list to Z-list with ease, and come from many different backgrounds: from film stars and TV personalities, to footballers and reality stars.
And it’s always fascinating to discover how the other half live. We watch what they wear, which restaurants they go to, and take great interest in their homes too.
Elaborate style
We aren’t surprised by elaborate and over the top designs in celeb homes; but how often do we get a sneak peak at their private bathrooms? Let’s take a look at a few now:
Adele
Singer Adele only splashed out on splendour last year after winning six Grammy Awards. Prior to that she lived in a bedsit. Now she has moved into a £6 million, Grade II listed Surrey mansion. Bathroom choices – there are several in this 10 bedroom abode – include a wood panelled dressing room with a contemporary freestanding bath in front of an open fire.
Another of her bathrooms has classic green and black tiles with more traditional fixtures. Which would you rather have in your home?
Kate Winslet
Another English A-lister, actress Kate Winslet boasted an all-white bathroom in the New York apartment she shared with director Sam Mendes. Although she gained the apartment after their split, last year it was put up for rent at an amazing $30,000 a month.
One of the apartment’s 4 bathrooms has a Victorian-style freestanding bath with feet, a double sink vanity unit, a shower cubicle, and a toilet cubicle. A huge silver-leafed mirror faced the windows with their views of New York.
Nicolas Cage
Hollywood star Nicolas Cage clearly favours lavish marble effects in his bathrooms, as can be seen in his Los Angeles home:
And a similar style in his Las Vegas home:
Christina Aguilera
In pop superstar Christina Aguilera’s Beverley Hills home, you’ll find luxurious wallpaper, a cosy fireplace, a Moroccan side table, and even a personalised rug/bathmat with a sketch of her face. Who says celebrities are vain?!
