It\u2019s the \u2018golden hour\u2019 of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dulux.co.uk\/en\/articles\/dark-light\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Dark and Light<\/a>; it\u2019s the gold that appears in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dulux.co.uk\/en\/articles\/heritage-future\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Heritage and Future<\/a>\u2013 both in the paintings of old masters and also in modern design trends.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Gold might not be everyone\u2019s cup of tea, but Dulux is interpreting the colour as more of a mustardy yellow than a metallic with rich earthy tones that feel less decadent and more homely.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Out of the broad palette of yellows we identified, we have carefully selected the one yellow that best represents the golden influence of the coming year\u2019s colour trends. We nominated a golden yellow, which has been translated into an almost ochre colour; still bright enough to attract attention while also subtly referring to past and the colour of the earth, combining
