This year, with over 1 million Apps available through App Store and iTunes, Apple reached an amazing total of 60 billion downloads.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b>Interior Design Apps<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>With a market this size, you won\u2019t be surprised that there are a number of Apps available to help with interior design.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The editor of Elle Decoration, Michelle Ogundehin, reviewed some of the best in October for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2013\/oct\/14\/10-best-interior-design-apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">the Guardian.<\/a> It was the apps with the most practical facilities which got her top scores. These, along with a few others of our choice, included:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1883\" style=\"border: 0px;\" alt=\"logo-carpenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.livinghouse.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/logo-carpenter-1.png\" width=\"64\" height=\"66\" \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ihandysoft.com\/apps.html\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>iHandy Carpenter<\/b><\/a> which has five useful tools \u2013 the spirit level, a plumb bob, a surface level, a steel protractor and a steel ruler. Something for the dedicated DIY-er.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"border: 0px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/a2.mzstatic.com\/us\/r30\/Purple4\/v4\/e8\/ae\/28\/e8ae28d0-6f1e-ab02-9e75-64535f39c894\/mzl.ujzarvgi.175x175-75.jpg\" width=\"67\" height=\"67\" \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/app\/pinterest\/id429047995\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>The Pinterest App<\/b><\/a> is free to download. Many of you will already know this one. You can collect and share images of almost anything for inspiration. This effectively the moodboard turned into an app.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"border: 0px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/a4.mzstatic.com\/us\/r1000\/076\/Purple\/v4\/09\/9c\/ac\/099cacab-b646-4fa6-f273-3be30f68fe6f\/mzl.slqhokls.175x175-75.jpg\" width=\"67\" height=\"67\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Similarly the free<a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/app\/magpie-by-conran\/id436739765\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b> Magpie App<\/b><\/a> developed by Conran allows you to take photos and videos and arrange them into scrapbooks\/moodboards for future use.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"border: 0px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/a5.mzstatic.com\/us\/r30\/Purple6\/v4\/7f\/ff\/a7\/7fffa73b-2010-0864-f2bc-72264e042810\/mzl.fbyriiau.175x175-75.jpg\" width=\"63\" height=\"63\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can also find inspiration at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.houzz.com\/ideabooks\/137147\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>Houzz<\/b><\/a>. This American site also has an app which is also free. Here you will find images taken by professionals of rooms for inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If it\u2019s colour references you&#8217;re after, there are several options. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pantone.co.uk\/pages\/pantone\/category.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>Pantone<\/b><\/a> the colour reference site for all design industries has apps for you to download but you will be charged. The Guardian article mentions <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/app\/peppermint-2-color-wheel-made\/id327031806\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>Peppermint 2<\/b><\/a> which has a small charge, there&#8217;s the a free app from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dulux.co.uk\/app\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>Dulux<\/b><\/a>. The latter two offer colour schemes so you can try things out on your mobile device first.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are many more Apps available and others in development no doubt.
