A spa in your home

Many of us love the thought of being pampered. That’s why spa visits are such a popular choice for hen parties and weekend breaks.  The thoughts of relaxing massages and other invigorating treatments appeal to a wide range of people.

What about turning your own bathroom into a spa?  Although you probably won’t have your own masseur; other elements could be included.  We all love a little luxury, so making your bathroom into something more than just functional space is certainly tempting.

But how can you do it?  Here are our simple tips:

The shower experience

Change your shower head to a large fixed one.  Have a look at these to see what we mean.  These shower heads create a rush of water like being caught in a heavy rain storm.  That’s invigorating covered then.

Soft, luxurious towels

Step out of your shower/bath and wrap yourself in a soft, warm towel.  You’ll need a heated towel rail for this …and of course some thick, soft towels!  Pampered!

Tap revamp

You can easily update your fixtures just by changing your taps.  From classic to ultra-modern designs; this small change can make a wealth of difference to the look.

Not only does this change the style of your bathroom; some taps will improve your experience through the different flow of water!

Sitting comfortably

Think your existing toilet ruins the space?  You could just upgrade your toilet to completely revamp your bathroom-cum-spa look.  Again choose from a wide range at Livinghouse; there will definitely be at least one, but probably more, that could really lift your bathroom.

All about nature

Many spas add a touch of nature to their surroundings.  The simplest way you can do this is to add a plant.  Why not make it a statement plant in a large, stylish pot?  Another ways spas add that natural touch is with wooden elements.  So if you can run to renewing your bathroom furniture, try a new wooden vanity unit.

Alternatively, add a range of pampering products that have a natural edge.  Many brands use natural sources these days, so this should be relatively simple.

And relax!
