Digital Grotesque: Hansmeyer/Dillenburger
Digital Grotesque is an innovative design, constructed entirely of 3D printed sandstone. Architects Michael Hansmeyer and Benjamin Dillenburger used computer algorithms to generate the room’s unique form.
With this piece, the architects have highlighted the vast possibilities of 3D printing technology. It’s not just small plastic pieces – its an entire room constructed totalling 11 tons of printed sandstone.
