100% Design: Design in Colour

This September ‘the largest and longest running contemporary design event for industry professionals in the UK’ will take place at Olympia in London. That’s right; it’s the return of 100% Design from 23-26th September.

Design in Colour

Working in partnership with WGSN – a leading trend and branding agency – 100% Design’s theme for this year is Design in Colour. Visitors to both their website and the show are encouraged to use colour to navigate their way around the products and the show itself, with colour featuring heavily in the design talks too.

WGSN’s 12 predicted colours for 2016 are Mango Orange, Vanilla White, Retro Pink, Dove Grey, Cool Beige, Fiery Red, Powder Blue, Teal Green, Camomile Yellow, Deep Indigo, Berry and Dark Brown. So, if you have a particular colour in mind, just follow the colour trail to reveal products and innovative designs in that colour way.

What to expect

As part of the London Design Festival, 100% Design saw a whopping 28,534 visitors and the launch of over 1,000 new products at last year’s event.

This year the event will cover a massive 20,000m2 and will be spread out across two floors of Olympia and will focus on key industry sections including, Interiors, Workplace, Kitchen & Bathrooms and Design & Build. Plus new sections for 2015, Luxury and Modern British.

Visitors will be treated to ‘specially commissioned editorial hubs’ and ‘critically acclaimed talks’ during the four day show. As well as new and exciting products from Emerging Brands.

Worth a look

With an impressive list of exhibitors showcasing their latest innovative designs, there will be plenty of great products to covert and look out for in future issues of interior design magazines and on the shelf.

Is it open to the public?

Although 100% Design is a trade event, the public is allowed a snoop around on Saturday 26th September from 10am to 6pm. However, the event is not suitable for children.
