Our unfinished thermo Oak engineered wood flooring has an 3mm solid oak top layer. The thermo treatment darkens the oak from a honey to a deep chocolate brown. The engineered board is manufactured by bonding the thermo oak top layer to a 11mm plywood backing which makes wooden flooring up to 70% more stable than its solid wood versions. These highly stable timber floors are ideal for laying over underfloor heating where it is not recommended to install a solid wooden floor. Our wood flooring is unfinished but pre sanded and is designed for hand on site finishing. Once installed engineered wood flooring is indistinguishable the solid version and does not have the inherent movement problems. Our timber floors can be bonded directly to concrete and timber subfloors and nailed to spanning timber joists.
