Our unfinished Oak engineered flooring has an extra thick 6mm solid oak wear layer. Manufacted by bonding the thick hardwood top layer to a 14mm plywood backing making our engineered wood flooring up to 70% more stable than the solid wood flooring versions. These highly stable engineered timber floors are ideal for laying over underfloor heating (must be adhesive bonded to the subfloor) where it is not recommended to lay a solid hardwood floor. As we supply our wood flooring unfinished (but pre sanded) they can be hand finished on site. Once finished our engineered flooring will look exactly like its solid hardwood flooring equivalent, but without the inherent movement problems that solid hardwoods have. Our engineered timber flooring is also suitable for laying directly to existing concrete and timber subfloors and with its 20mm total thickness, it is also suitable for spanning timber joists.

Our unfinished thermo Oak engineered wood flooring has an extra thick 6mm solid oak top wear layer (thermo is a treatment when the whole thickness of the oak is darkened from a honey to a chocolate brown colour). Manufactured by bonding the thick thermo oak hardwood top layer to a 14mm plywood backing, making engineered wood flooring up to 70% more stable than the solid wood flooring versions.
