Livinghouse can supply very wide oak floorboards that have hand distressed edges giving an aged but still smart looking floor. Our distressed wooden flooring is ideally suited to older buildings, where our antiqued wooden flooring is too rustic looking. This prefinished wax oiled wooden floor has been specially engineered. With a 6mm solid Oak top layer that is bonded onto a 14mm plywood timber backing, this engineered wooden floor is an extremely stable. Because this timber floor has added stability over solid wood versions, it can be used safely over underfloor heating, laid directly to existing concrete or timber subfloors, and with a 20mm total plank thickness this timber floor can span floor joists. We can supply our distressed oak flooring in the widths of 150mm, 200mm, 260mm and also as random width floor. Something else that should be taken into account, due to the 6mm thickness of the top hardwood wear layer this engineered wooden flooring has the same longevity as a solid wood floor, but without the stability issues.
